*Sheli
Beach
Sheli Beach
is located in the bay south of the Shamau Mountain. The white sandy
beach extends one kilometer and covers an area of 2100 square meters.
With its bright and shiny white sands formed from large coral relics
and shells, it is the best natural beach for water activities in
Penghu. With its shallow and clear water and soft sands, it is perfect
for water sports. The blue sky and ocean make it even more enjoyable.

night.
*The
sunken city at Huching
The Huching
Island is about seven nautical miles from Makung, or 25 minutes
by boat. The center of the island is low and flat while basalt rock
pillars rise high on the east and west coasts. At low tides, the
ocean view shows shallow and clear waters, making it one of the
eight major attractions of Penghu-Clear Cave at Huching. It is said
that there is a sunken city underneath the clear cave. On a clear
day, visitors can still see the red brick city built by Dutch settlers.
The tides come and go. Though the tale of the sunken city remains
a mystery, the beautiful ocean view at Huching is still very attractive.

years old now. Legend has it that a commercial ship passed by Penghu
during Emperor Kanghsi's rule. It sank before passing through the
Homen channel in Tongliang. Only a banyan seedling floated to the
coast. It was picked by local people and planted in front of the
temple. After some 300 years, its foliage has covered an area of
